A European program supporting administrative professionals

Staff mobility is an Erasmus+ program that allows administrative staff to spend a few days at a European partner university.

This type of mobility meets many purposes: to maintain and strengthen relationships with European counterparts, to develop new projects, and to share best practices regarding international mobility.

A balanced partnership

Pablo de Olavide University was founded in 1997 and has approximately 13,000 students across seven faculties. The 130-hectare campus welcomes more than 750 international students each year, and the university sends abroad 600 of its own students.

ICES has been collaborating with this Spanish university since 2021. During her exchange visit, Ms. Aurélie PASQUIER met with 6 of the 11 members of the local International Relations team, including Mr. Luis CAMACHO FENECH, the new director of the department, and Ms. Laura ROBLES PEREA, who oversees ICES students on the local campus. This two-day visit helped strengthen ties between the partners, and allowed them to share best practices in regards to the management of international exchange programs.

Ms. Aurélie PASQUIER met with the two Spanish students who will be participating in an academic exchange program at ICES at the start of the 2026–2027 academic year. During the meeting, she provided them with practical information to help them prepare for this experience, both academically and in terms of daily life in La Roche-sur-Yon.

Finally, Ms. Aurélie PASQUIER checked in with an ICES student in his second year of a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and who is currently on an academic exchange at Pablo de Olavide University. His feedback could be helpful to future ICES students who choose this university for their academic exchange. Ms. Aurélie PASQUIER encouraged him to join the Globo association upon his return to France and to become a “Buddy”— that is, someone who welcomes an international student upon their arrival in La Roche-sur-Yon and guides them through their academic integration and daily life. The next welcome seminar for international students at ICES is scheduled for August 27th and 28th, 2026.
