Whatever your level!
Whether you are a beginner or already familiar with the French language, we strongly encourage you to take one of our French Language (FLE) courses during your semester at ICES.
An intensive session is offered during the welcome days, followed by weekly classes (54 hours per semester) divided according to the students' level (beginner, intermediate, advanced). Students are invited to participate in presentations, role plays, and other pair work activities.
The FLE course leads to a final exam (oral and written) and is worth 9 ECTS.
In addition to the FLE courses, students can participate in French workshops (12 hours per semester), which allow them to initiate or consolidate their practice of the French language.
This oral expression workshop is sanctioned by a final exam (oral) and is worth 3 ECTS.
