Mr Éric Ghérardi has been appointed ICES President for the start of the academic year in September 2022.
He is a lecturer in public law and former higher education advisor to the Army's human resources director.
Background:
Éric Ghérardi is a graduate of the Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris (public service section), holds a doctorate in public law from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and he is also a lawyer and qualified to direct research in law.
Law teaching and research:
Éric Ghérardi has been teaching law at ICES since 1992. Teaching legal method is one of his favorite areas. His research work focuses on the legal framework of the intervention of armed forces on national territory, particularly in the fight against terrorism.
